Bear Valley is your local answer for awesome Camps, Race, Freestyle and Bear Valley’s own Hybrid of BOTH!!!   We offer the first EVER combo camp that allows racers to switch it up and get some park training and freestylers get the opportunity to perfect their approach with racing techniques.

From the novice who wants to get better to the advanced who wants to be Pro we have it all right here at Bear Valley. Our Race coaches have a long legacy of advancing racers to there top performance AND many to the USSA JR. Olympics. The Freeride coaching staff will help novice’s develop and understand how to ride the park safely and with style and show the Advanced experts the moves they would need to go Pro!

These camps are for all ages and ability so sign up today… And Adults Embrace your inner kid with a session at Camp. Don’t let the term “camp” fool you though. We cater to all ages and abilities, if you’re 8 or 80, you’re still a camper at the Most Fun Place to Be this Memorial Day Weekend!!!

PROGRAM

  • 18 hours of on-hill and dry land training
  • 6 hours of mountain recreation and fun
  • 2 nights lodging, plus meals and lift tickets
  • Video Analysis
  • Private coaching sessions
  • 24 hour supervision for minors with professional coaches and counselors

 

PRICING

All inclusive camp (ages 9-16): $349.00 (by May 1),  $399 After May 1)
Sunday – Monday, Meals, lodging, Coaching, Lift tixs and dry land training

Day Camp (ages 7+): $249.00 (by May 1),  $299 After May 1)
Day rate includes Lift Tix, Coaching and lunch = Youth -18 (Day camp ends at 3pm)

Kids as young as 7  can join the Day camp, but must be between the ages of 9-16 to be part of our resident camp.

DISCOUNTS

Following discounts are available:  $25 Bear Bucks for all Bear Valley season pass holders, $25 Bear Bucks per additional sibling, $25 Bear Bucks for all Team Members. (multiple discounts can be combined)

Camp is conditions permitting and must have a minimum of 20 athletes.

BVSEF Ski Swap Thursday Dec. 29

The annual BVSEF Ski Swap on Thursday December  29th at from 10:00am- 1:00pm

All ski gear welcome including skis, snowboards, boots, uniform jackets that are in good condition. This is your chance to gear up for the new season at a great price and/or get cash for the gear your young athletes have outgrown. Also a chance for Mom and Dad to get some gear at a great price….this isn’t only for kids!

Here is how the Ski Swap works:

  • All ski gear must be in good condition and 5 seasons old or newer
  • Bring your equipment to Bear Valley Mountain Resort Thursday  morning December 29 starting at 9:00 am. Look for the signs for the specific location of the Ski Swap. We are planning on setting up in the Bear Bungalow or on the Sundeck
  • Each item to be sold at the ski swap will be tagged with a number, the seller’s name and the price
  • Sellers have the choice of donating the gear to BVSEF for sale or receiving the sale proceeds less 10%.
  • Sellers will retain a claim check with the number corresponding to the tag and their name, equipment description and price will be logged
  • Buyers make their selection and take their items to check out. Payment can be made by cash or check made payable to the Seller.
  • At the end of the auction, Sellers will collect their proceeds by presenting their claim tickets. Seller will donate 10% of the total sale proceeds to BVSEF in cash or check made payable to “BVSEF”.
  • Sellers who have elected to donate their gear will receive a donation acknowledgement/receipt that can be used for tax purposes.
  • Items that are not sold must be claimed and removed on Thursday afternoon after the swap.

 

 

 

Winter Sports History Night -

The Ebbetts Pass Historical Association (EPHA) is honoring the BVSEF at this year’s Wintersports History Night with a special achievement award. The Wintersports History Night is an annual event hosted by the EPHA honoring contributors to the wintersports culture along the Hwy 4 corridor. This year the Peter Brinkman  Award Winner  Dave Johnston will be honored. In addition there will be presentations about the History of NASTAR at Bear Valley, Mt. Reba Ski Patrol in the 80′s, BVSEF and vintage ski movie clips.The event will take place this Saturday, December 10 @ 7PM in the Cathedral Lounge at the Bear Valley Lodge.
